The album was able to have significant appeal not just in the U.S. where it racked up six platinum singles thanks to Top Ten hits Love Story and the hit single You Belong with Me but throughout the globe, performing especially well with Australia, U.K. Canada and Australia. Swift soared to the top of the charts when she released Speak Now. Swift's popularity continued to grow through her subsequent three albums -- Red (2012) 1989 (2014) and Reputation (2017) and Reputation in 2017 and found her moving assuredly into a realm of pop music where she already belonged. However, even when she reduced her style with the 2020's stripped-down siblings' folklore and Evermore she was still atop the charts, a place she kept with the re-recordings of her earlier catalog, as well as Midnights which was her top-charting synthesizer 2022 collection.
