Sara Lynn Evans, born on the 5th of February 1971 in New Franklin Missouri was raised as the oldest out of 7 siblings. Music was always a aspect of her life, and when she was five, she sang every weekend with her family's group. In the age of 16 she was enlisted as a performer in an Columbia Missouri nightclub for a two-year period. In 1991, she moved in Nashville Tennessee, with the intention of becoming an artist of country music. Sara performed in County Q Studios a version of Tiger By the Tail that was written by Harlan Howard. Harlan Howard believed that Sara was able to sing the song. Sara became an RCA artist. In 1997 Evans made her debut record Three Chords and the Truth. The album was praised by critics and was one of many in their most popular albums of 1997.
