April Ross
April Ross, a beach volleyball star in the US she is part of the elite group of women who have been awarded medals at more than one Olympics. In Tokyo in the coming days, she'll try to secure her third gold alongside first-time Olympian Alix Klineman. Ross wants to achieve more than her initial Olympic medal. As she turns 39, it could be Ross' final opportunity to claim the Olympic gold. Still confident, however. Ross stated to NBC Boston that he believes if they play their highest, or play one of their best games, we'll be in the running for gold. In addition, I'm planning attempt to get fortunate. Ross was born on August 22, 1982, in Costa Mesa California. She lived there with her family. At Newport Harbor High School, she played in a variety of sports. In addition to indoor volleyball, she took part in tennis and also jogged track when she was an amateur athlete. In her final game she was clearly the standout. Based on her bio, she was a middle blocker and an outside hitter on the volleyball court throughout her high-school career. To honor her effort she was honoured as one of the 1998 Gatorade Circle of Champions National Player of the Year. In 2000, she won her the Orange County Athlete of the Year award in volleyball. Ross Klineman and Ross began their partnership in 2017, however Ross has been a prominent player on the beach long before. It's true that she has played a significant role on the scene of beaches over the years. In fact, Ross had won several championships, including one with a legendary volleyball player. Between 2007 until 2013, she was a team alongside Jennifer Kessy who more recently played the role of Klineman's coach. Along together with Kessy Ross was awarded a World Title in 2009 when she competed internationally. They took home a Silver medal at the 2012 Olympic Games held in London. Misty Maytreanor's legendary team along with Kerri Jennings were the winners of gold. Ross Jennings became Walsh Jennings partner in fate when Maytreanor decided to retire. In 2016, the duo won bronze in the Rio Olympics for beach volleyball. Ross participated in the Trojans at USC during her the college years following her graduation from the high school she attended. Ross's Trojans experience was awe-inspiring. In 2000, she was awarded Pac-10 Freshman and NCAA Freshman of the Year and she was an All-American. Her Trojans also reached the Final Four. The second season of her career, she was devastated by a personal loss and still was successful in being named an All-American. After two more seasons as a member of the Trojans she was instrumental in helping them win consecutive championships. In her own way, she cemented her place as a legend after winning the Honda Sports Award for 2003-04. The award was presented to the top female college athlete in the nation. Ross studied international relations at USC. Unfortunately, Ross mother Margie never got to see her daughter reach the highest levels of beach volleyball superstardom. At the time of 2001, while Ross was in her sophomore year in USC her mother died of cancer of the breast. Her mother is still close to her heart. And Margie continues to be an inspiration to her on the beach and in her everyday life.
