Zoe Saldana was born on June 19, 1978 in Passaic, New Jersey, to Asalia Nazario and Aridio Saldana. Her father is Dominican while her mother was Puerto Rican. She was raised by her mother who lived in Queens. When she was 10 years old, she and her family moved towards the Dominican Republic, where they would live for the next seven years. While living there, Zoe discovered a keen interest in performance dance and began her training at the world-class ECOS Espacio de Danza Dance Academy where she studied ballet and different dance styles. The training she received was not just a wonderful opportunity for an active, eager child, but was also the best preparation for her eventual acting career as a professional. At age 17, Zoe and her family relocated home to her home in the United States where her love for dancing continued and her interest in theater performance became more intense. Zoe not only has held her own, but has also earned admiration from stars like Steven Spielberg, Jerry Bruckheimer, Keira, Knightley, Ashton Kutcher and Orlando Bloom. Many of Zoe's co-stars and producers are of the opinion that sky's not her limit. She has a wide spectrum of talent, intense concentration and an unwavering determination to work on projects that feature diverse subject matter and characters. The Outfit, directed by Graham Moore and produced by Focus Feature, is also one of the films she is in. It is starring Mark Rylance alongside Dylan O'Brien. Her performance earned her an "Best Supporting Actress" nomination for the 2022 BIFA. Deutch, along with Katie Silberman, will team with each other for the sequel to their romantic comedy of theirs, Most Dangerous Game. Deutch and Silberman have previously collaborated on the Netflix popular show, Set It Up (2018).
